Medior Software Engineer .Net

As a .NET software engineer, you will work with your team to solve various challenges within the product line(s) you are working on. Your team is responsible for the complete life cycle of the product. You will develop new features in a thorough manner and work with DevOps specialists to determine the best way to deliver components. You have knowledge of designing, configuring, building, testing, and maintaining our solutions and you work with operations to roll out new releases and analyze problems and challenges on operational systems.

You take responsibility for achieving positive, agreed-upon results so our customers and partners can use our platform to their satisfaction. You are versatile and the focus may vary from sprint to sprint.

Customers always have new requests and we are constantly working on development, so you will constantly be optimizing and expanding our services.

Who are we looking for?

We think you will fit in well with us if you identify with the following profile:

• You have high standards for the quality of your work as you are working on a product that our customers use.

• You are analytical and enjoy working on a large, complex application.

• You work in an international team. It is important that you can express yourself well in English in order to work well with your colleagues.

• You have experience programming with .NET and C#, and we also use JavaScript, ASP.NET, .NET Core, PostGreSQL and/or MS SQL.

• Experience with GitLab CI/CD is a plus.

• Experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, and AWS is a plus.

• Knowledge of Scrum Agile Way of Working.

A day as a .NET developer:

You don’t live from day to day, but from sprint to sprint. You start the day with the stand-up of the scrum team. After the stand-up, everyone in the scrum team starts working on the tickets that are being worked on in the sprint. The scrum team consists of 4 to 7 colleagues: a product owner, a tester, and 2 to 5 software engineers. You work independently on your ticket, but of course, you can always approach colleagues for discussion. Ultimately, you and your team are responsible for achieving the sprint. Quality in work is important and to ensure this, colleagues check each other’s code and you help the team get a little better every day. You work agile and participate in the planning and review of the sprint. At the end of the sprint, there is a sprint review where the team shows what has been achieved and what can be improved.

Your workplace:

Our office is located in Capelle aan den IJssel at the Rivium Quadrant. This may sound less vibrant than it is because from our office you have a good view of the Rotterdam skyline and the van Brienenoord bridge. From our office you can easily reach the highway by car and parking is free at the door. If you don’t have a car, our office is also accessible by public transport. If you want, you are welcome to come to the office to work every working day, but working hybrid is also possible. We will provide you with a laptop and a mobile phone and the freedom to work remotely. Because we believe it is important that our colleagues get to know each other and prioritize work enjoyment, we encourage physical presence at the office on the weekly team days.
